If you haven’t read our “About” section of our homepage, fan clubs are like… kind of our thing. We’re obsessed with music and its power to unite people, and the fan club is the perfect intersection between artist and fan! Fan clubs enable artists to share their work more intimately with a smaller, more dedicated audience who, in turn, get unrivaled access to the artist, the music they love so much, and an entire community of like-minded fans. Now, if you’re a fan and wondering where you’d sign up for something so unbelievably amazing, you’re in luck! While we do have our own amazing fan club platform, Fan Crew, there are so many other fantastic fan clubs to explore! So today, we’re covering some fan clubs from the biggest artists in the world, how much they cost, and their benefits! 🌟
Tate Mcrae - Did you know Tate McRae has a free app for fans?! It offers fans first access to tickets and VIP, as well as message boards and push notifications with updates from Tate.
The ‘Ville (Keith Urban) - Keith Urban’s fan club has two tiers, one free and one paid. The paid option is $30 for one year and includes first access to pre-sales, meet and greets, exclusive news and content, and discounted merch, among other perks.
The Band CAMINO - Just last year, The Band CAMINO released their fan club as a free app! The app offers users early access to tickets, message boards, and more.
ShawnAccess (Shawn Mendes) - Another app-based fan club, though Shawn’s fan club app offers more than the others. It boasts limited edition merch, once-in-a-lifetime prize packs, and even real-world augmented reality experiences!
The Rocket Club (Elton John) - Elton John’s Rocket Club is free to join and offers members exclusive news, first-to-know access to new tour/performance dates, and access to pre-sale tickets.
The Ran Fans (Miranda Lambert) - A subscription to become an official “Ran Fan” will run you $25 a year. The price is well worth it considering you’ll get access to the private fan forum, ticket presales, and fan club-only merch and opportunities! For an extra $15, Ran Fans receive a collectible t-shirt each year.
The Stable (Lainey Wilson) - If you’re a Lainey Wilson fan, you’re in luck! Her fan club is another free-to-join option that gets you access to pre-sale tickets, exclusive content, merch discounts, and private message boards!
BTS ARMY - Arguably the strongest fandom on Earth, rivaled only by the Swifties. A year’s membership is just $20.50, opening up a whole new world for fans. ARMY members get member-only merch and discounts, pre-releases, access to pre-sale and ticket raffles, the opportunity to apply for or participate in online and in-person BTS events, and more!
Cherry Tree (The National) - Cherry Tree from the prominent indie rock band The National has one of the coolest perks we’ve seen: an annual collectible vinyl! This alone may be enough for fans to pay the yearly $50 fee, but get so much more than the record, including priority ticketing, exclusive content, limited edition merch, and more!
Backstreet Army (The Backstreet Boys) - Yes, even The Backstreet Boys have an official fan club! They have monthly and yearly options ($6.50 and $60, respectively) that have the same benefits. You’ll get updates from the road from both crew and band members, as well as the ability to find local fan meet-ups, exclusive Backstreet Army merch, and access to exclusive digital content.
Carrie Underwood - One of country music’s biggest queens has her own fan club! For $32.99 a year, members get exclusive meet-and-greet opportunities, fan club events, a welcome package, exclusive merch, and pre-sale ticket access. Carrie also uses her fan club as an opportunity to promote and give to the C.A.T.S. Foundation, with a membership option for just five dollars extra that goes directly to the charity.
Weezer Fan Club - Despite the seemingly endless supply of memes, Weezer is a genuinely well-loved band that has a free app for their fans. Fans receive first access to tickets, member-only merch, exclusive content, and so much more!
Dylan Scott’s Beer Buddies - Dylan Scott’s Beer Buddies, hosted on our Fan Crew platform, pay just $25 for a year’s worth of benefits! At the top of the list is access to his meet and greet lottery, and ticket giveaways, in addition to presale access, early access to new music, videos, and tour announcements, as well as 10% off all merch!
Tayler Holder - TikTok star turned rising country sensation Tayler Holder has his very own With the Band Fan Crew! He has three tiers of fan: Bronze (free), Silver ($10/mo), and Gold ($30/mo). Paying fans definitely get their money’s worth with access to unreleased music, exclusive content, a sneak peek at tour dates, and member-only giveaways and contests!
Maggie Rose - Maggie’s fan club is another With the Band Fan Crew! It has three monthly membership tiers with varying benefits, priced at $5, $25, and $100. All tiers receive behind-the-scenes access to Maggie’s podcast “Salute the Songbird”, exclusive and early access to new music, videos, and tour dates, as well as unreleased songs, and even demos! The middle tier offers fans an exclusive, monthly live-stream concert and a 20% discount on all merch. The highest tier may be a little pricey, but if you’re a superfan, subscribing for a minimum of two months gets you a handwritten lyric sheet of your favorite song, a virtual meet and greet after livestream concerts, and even two free tickets and meet and greet passes to one of Maggie’s live shows!
And that’s our list! Hopefully, this list gives you a good idea of how fan clubs are set up and the benefits they offer. If there’s an artist we didn’t mention, it’s well worth the fifteen-ish seconds needed to Google them and see if they have a fan club! Artists are always finding new ways to share their work, so it’s also best practice to stay up to date on their socials and see if they have a free email list you can join for updates! Here at With the Band, we have some big things just around the corner related to our Fan Crews that we’re so excited about, so make sure to sign up for our newsletter!
